To evaluate precisely how your weapon or ammunition performs, we need to collect data as scientifically as possible. We currently have three offerings available to help you collect this data.
The first item of review of any firearm, new or old, is to look at the condition of the bore. We offer mobile and shop-based borescope services. We will meet you here, or at a location of your choosing to capture visually the condition of firearm barrels. If you are considering a used weapon, you can prevent buyer's remorse by understanding how the firearm was used and cared for previously. If you have purchased a new weapon that is not performing to your expectations, we can provide documentation for warranty repair or replacement. Don't settle for less.
$50 per hour (over a 1 hour boundary prorated) to include setup, camera time, media recording, an SD card of the raw images for your use, Dropbox link to the media and documents for the session, and a final analysis report. Contact Us on the Home page to schedule your appointment, complete and submit your scheduling request, or add the item to your cart in our store.
*Note: Multiple subjects permitted; long guns (rifles and shotguns) take about 20 minutes each, pistols (with less area to cover) take about 15 minutes each.
Proper evaluation of the firearm requires elimination of human factors. To that end we deploy machine rests for rifle and pistol with remote triggering. We can do it for you, but our preference is that you join us. We will teach you how to set up the rest, then select your sight picture, and fire the weapon remotely. We provide the weapon rest, range time, any targets. The targets are yours to keep, and if you have us do the testing on your behalf, will be included with a final report.
$50 per hour (over a 1 hour boundary prorated) to include setup, training, range time, targets, and a final analysis report. Indoors to 50 yards; Outdoors to 300 yards. Contact Us on the Home page to schedule your appointment, complete and submit your scheduling request, or add the item to your cart in our store.
This service will consume 40+ rounds from your weapon. You may provide the ammo of your preference, or we will obtain Federal American Eagle, or equivalent, ammunition for the project. You can prepare for this by adding Accuracy Testing Ammunition Deposit to your request. If the actual cost of your caliber is less than the deposit amount, we will refund the difference.
*Note: For rifle testing, expect to get no more than 10 rounds per hour. To achieve desirable results the rifle barrel must return to ambient temperature (5 minutes minimum)
Does your factory ammo perform to values stated on the box? How fast are my reloads really going. The only way to know for sure is to test. Then, when the trophy (or target) is in your sights you know how to compensate for environmentals.
We offer the latest Doppler Radar testing tool - LabRadar. We will join you on the range, set up the testing environment, and either you or we will fire the selected ammunition.
$50 per hour (over a 1 hour boundary prorated) to include setup, range time, SD Card with raw data for your use (.csv file format), and an analysis report including trajectory graph, and reference table (dope sheet) for the subject ammunition in 25 yard increments (.xls file format). Contact Us on the Home page to schedule your appointment, complete and submit your scheduling request, or add the item to your cart in our store.
*Note: Velocity Testing is done indoors to avoid weather impacts. Velocity Testing is not done at the same time as Accuracy Testing for Rifle due to the rate of fire required. In the available time, it is necessary to fire a minimum sample size of 13 rounds to meet a statistical 98% confidence level.
